FC Bayern have little time to prepare for the crunch meeting with Atlético Madrid, so Sunday’s training session was a far more intensive affair than normal on the day after a match. Following a short team talk Pep Guardiola supervised the players who featured against Gladbach either only for a short time or not at all in a full workout. The rest of the squad reported to the performance centre for treatment or completed a few gentle laps of the Säbener Strasse facility. The latter group included Franck Ribéry, who is currently hampered by a back injury and remains doubtful for Tuesday.
Çakir to ref Atlético showdown
Cüneyt Çakir from Turkey will referee the Champions League semi-final second leg between Bayern and Atlético Madrid. Çakir has already taken charge of a match involving FCB this season, the 2-0 group stage defeat to Arsenal in London. However, Bayern have twice won games supervised by the same match official: the Reds beat Villarreal 2-0 away from home in September 2011 and won by the same score away to AS Roma in November 2015.Simeone: Godin fit to return
Defensive organiser Diego Godin and wide player Yannick Carrasco are set to return for Atlético Madrid in Tuesday’s meeting with FC Bayern. Coach Diego Simeone said on Sunday that the entire Atlético squad would travel to Munich. Godin and Carrasco missed the first leg with injury but both are now reportedly fit.CREDIT TO:http://www.fcbayern.de/en/news/news/2016/news-in-brief-010516.php
