Bundesliga side Hannover have announced that youth team striker Niklas Feierabend has died following a car accident.Reports in Germany claim the 19-year-old had been one of four people travelling in a car when the vehicle swerved off the road and hit a tree.
Feierabend and one other are said to have died in the crash while the remaining two passengers were taken to hospital for treatment.
The young striker never turned out for the first team but netted 11 times in 23 appearances for the under-19 side this season and was considered a bright prospect.

Feierabend signed a senior contract in February this year and was set to play in the DFB Youth Cup final against Hertha Berlin in May.
A statement released by Hannover read: “This morning we received the terrible news that our 19-year-old youth striker had a car accident early in the morning.
“Our deepest sympathy in this difficult time go to his family and friends, and everyone else concerned.
“All players, coaches, staff, fans and the entire environment of Hannover 96 are deeply shocked. Niklas, we will never forget you.”
