It seemed appropriate that a defender decided the match, as the two teams combined for a total of 24 shots, with only seven on target.

Still without attackers Gyasi Zardes and Robbie Keane on international duty, the Galaxy failed to trouble Clint Irwin throughout the night.

The LA Galaxy remain in fifth in the Western Conference after the loss, who were also missing Steven Gerrard, who sat out with a hamstring injury, and Giovani Dos Santos, who is suffering from a quad injury.

Toronto FC will return to the field on June 25 against Orlando City SC, while the Galaxy will face the San Jose Earthquakes on the same day.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Earning the shutout in this match as well as the game-winning goal, Drew Moor was clearly the difference between a point and three for Toronto FC. The Galaxy didn’t present much of an attack with some key players missing, but the TFC defense performed well.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

A scoreless draw looked increasingly likely for the game until Drew Moor finally found a breakthrough in the 76th minute. TFC frequently found chances through Sebastian Giovinco, but none looked likely to score.

MATCH TO FORGET

Without Giovani Dos Santos and Robbie Keane at forward, the Galaxy needed some attacking players to step up. Sebastian Lletget recorded four shots in the match, but it wasn’t enough to grab an away point.
