Celtic and Villa among clubs eyeing Reading midfielder

Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola is a target for a number of clubs this summer,SOCCER EXPLORERS Sports understands from sources close to the club.

The talented midfielder is highly-rated after impressing for Reading last season before seeing his campaign cruelly cut short in February by injury.

Tshibola is now back to full fitness and should be available for pre-season training after undergoing surgery on a hamstring problem.

Tshibola, who has come through the ranks at Reading, made 16 appearances last season and was a regular under Steve Clarke before his injury.

Premier League outfit Crystal Palace, Championship duo Aston Villa and Norwich and Scottish champions Celtic are all thought to be keeping tabs on Tshibola as they weigh up moves for the former England Under-18 international.

Palace are keen to bolster their midfield options ahead of next season, while Norwich are looking to rebuild their squad following relegation from the Premier League.

New Villa assistant manager Clarke is a big fan of Tshibola having worked with him at Reading and he has put him forward as a potential new signing at Villa Park.

Celtic are also in the mix for Tshibola with Brendan Rodgers's assistant Chris Davies recommending the midfielder having also worked with him during his time at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading are reluctant to lose Tshibola, but are bracing themselves for offer for the powerful midfielder this summer.
