West Ham
icons Joe Cole, Teddy Sheringham, Dean Ashton, Trevor Sinclair and David
James will join a host of other stars to mark the 50th anniversary of
England's World Cup win at Upton Park.
The
Hammers are hosting 'The Legends: England v Germany' on Bank Holiday
Monday, May 2, as the latest addition to the calender of events counting
down to their vacating of the Boleyn Ground.
An
England XI will also feature David Platt, Sol Campbell, Paul Scholes,
Steve McManaman, Jamie Redknapp and Robbie Fowler, plus celebrity
guests.
Former
Chelsea midfielder and Germany captain Michael Ballack, Lothar Matthaus,
Guido Buchwald, Fredi Bobic, Mario Basler and Jens Nowotny lead the
opposition.
West
Ham, of course, contributed Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin
Peters to the England squad that was triumphant at Wembley in 1966, and a
statue close to Upton Park commemorates the trio's efforts for club and
country.

The
Bank Holiday Monday 4pm kick-off clash is designed to be a fitting send
off from Upton Park for a club with a huge influence on the nation's
major international honour.
West Ham do
have a Barclays Premier League fixture against Swansea City at Upton
Park five days later but with tickets set to be in high demand for that
game, this could be the last chance to see one of London's most-famous
grounds for some fans.
Tickets
are priced at £20 for adults, £10 for those over the age of 65 or under
21, and £5 for Under 16s - with season-ticket holders taking priority
before a general sale period.
Seats are on sale to season-ticket holders from 9am on March 14, and to the public on March 21.
Joe Cole has been named as one of a large group of former Hammers coming back for the match
