Oxlade-Chamberlain could join Man City; Man United eye Leverkusen trio

The Times has revealed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a target of Pep Guardiola when the Spaniard starts his reign at Manchester City this summer. The midfielder would be used on the right wing, with his fellow countryman Raheem Sterling out on the left. John Stones, another young England international, is also under heavy consideration as City look to rebuild under their new boss.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is known to have impressed the Bayern Munich coach when he starred for Arsenal in their 1-1 Champions League draw with the German side in March 2014, and although the plan is for him to operate on the right if recruited by City, he has shown his capabilities in the centre and could be used in both roles.

Despite bursting onto the scene after his move to The Emirates, injuries and inconsistency have held Oxlade-Chamberlain back and after another up-and-down season in North London, it's reported that Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for him. The attacker's current deal expires in 2018 and the prospect of working with Guardiola would appeal to him, along with a hike in wages. Wouldn't it though?

Arsenal keen to strike a deal for Dembele

Arsenal have been won over by Rennes starlet Ousmane Dembele and are ready to fight some of Europe's elite for the Frenchman's signature, reports The Mirror. The teen forward, who can also play as a No. 10, made his professional debut in November but is already one of the most in-demand young players in European football after scoring nine goals in just 17 Ligue 1 matches.

The 18-year-old expressed a desire to leave the club in June due to a lack of first-team opportunities, but signed a three-year contract with Rennes in October after being convinced to sign a professional deal by
Mikael Silvestre, the former Arsenal defender who is now an executive at the Brittany club. La Liga giants Barcelona are also interested in Dembele, as well as the Gunners' Premier League rivals Liverpool and Leicester.

United keen on Leverkusen trio

German publication BILD are reporting that Manchester United are interested in bringing Bayer Leverkusen trio Omer Toprak, Hakan Calhanoglu and Karim Bellarabi to Old Trafford this summer. Toprak is a quick, physical defender who would provide United with some much needed stability after having to use the likes of Daley Blind and Michael Carrick due to horrid injury luck and the inadequacies of their other options.

Calhanoglu and Bellarabi are extremely coveted across Europe, and at 22 and 24, respectively, would certainly be an upgrade on the current midfield and wide options at the club. Calhanoglu is known for his vision and technique in the final third, in addition to his incredible free kicks, while Bellarabi is an old-fashioned winger who will look to burn the opposition full back as many times as possible throughout the 90 minutes -- something the Red Devils have lacked this season.

Southampton ready to step up interest in Sisto

Southampton have joined the chase for highly rated Midtjylland forward Pione Sisto, according to The Mirror. The £12 million-rated Dane, has attracted fresh interest from the Premier League after his displays against Manchester United in the Europa League earlier this month.

Leicester and Everton, also keen, had their sights on him before his two goals against Louis van Gaal's men, and although he has interest from clubs such as Germany's Borussia Dortmund and Valencia of Spain, Sisto is said to favour a move to England.

Saints boss Ronald Koeman is battling to keep Sadio Mane at St Mary's with the 23-year-old keen to move on to a bigger club in the summer, and Sisto is seen as a perfect replacement due to his ability to play on the left, right or centrally.

Tap-Ins

- The Daily Star claims that Guardiola is set to axe striker Wilfried Bony this summer as the Ivorian continues to underwhelm after his £28 million move from Swansea in January.
- Borussia Dortmund have issued a warning to Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, declaring that star striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is not for sale. That's from The Sun.
- Everton target Steve Mandanda refused to commit his future to Marseille in a cagey news conference this week. The France keeper is out of contract at the end of the season and but insists, in The Mirror, that talks must remain on hold as they battle to stay in France's top flight.
- According to ESPN Brasil, Fiorentina have sent a letter to Santos, expressing their intent to sign wonderkid Gabriel 'Gabigol' Barbosa. The Italian club, along with Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid are also interested in promising talent Thiago Maia.
