The dust may just be settling on the 2015/16 Bundesliga season, but VfL Wolfsburg still have work to do before breaking up for the holidays as they jetted off to China on Monday for a post-season promotional tour.

Wolfsburg will play two friendly matches as part of a week-long stay in China - forming part of the #BLWorldTour - first against Chinese Super League side Changchun Yatai on Wednesday, 18 May and then against Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven on Saturday, 21 May.

"We are really looking forward to getting to China, where we now have many fans," said the Bundesliga club's sporting director Klaus Allofs. "Of course they will be demanding days, but trips like these are crucial for presenting and positioning yourself internationally, and also for economic reasons."

A 22-man pack of Wolves boarded the flight on Monday with Ricardo Rodriguez and Bruno Henrique both left behind due to injuries while Luiz Gustavo is in Brazil for personal reasons and Paul Seguin is going to be involved in important end-of-season matches for the club's reserve team.
