Germany international: I have a lot of offers… but I want to play for Manchester United

RON-ROBERT ZIELER says he would jump at the chance to make a return to Manchester United.

RETURN: Ron-Robert Zieler would be open to rejoining Manchester United

The 27-year-old goalkeeper joined the Red Devils’ academy in 2005 and spent five years at the club, although he failed to make a first team appearance under Sir Alex Ferguson.

He established his career at Hannover 96, becoming a Germany international in the process, but is set to leave the club following their relegation from the Bundesliga.
Liverpool and Manchester City have both been linked with Zieler in the past and he claims a number of clubs are now chasing his signature.

And while a return to United is currently unlikely with David de Gea firmly established as No.1, Zieler hopes there may be a possibility in the future.

“The time at United helped me a lot in my development, personally and as a football player,” he told Goal.

“Today I can say for sure: I would always decide to go there again.

"Nothing has been decided yet [on his future]. There are several offers. I will listen to all of them and then decide.
