Renato Sanches: Manchester United wanted me before Bayern Munich

ESPN FC's Raphael Honigstein reveals the details behind Bayern's latest signings, Mats Hummels and Renato Sanches.

Renato Sanches has said Manchester United made an offer for his services before he agreed a switch from Benfica to Bayern Munich.

Earlier this month, Bayern confirmed the signing of Sanches, 18, from Benfica for an initial €35 million.

The midfielder had been strongly linked with United before penning a five-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
Sanches said: "Manchester United made an offer. I think it was well known. But I had other offers as well.
