Subotic linked with Sunderland switch

Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic has been linked with a move to Sunderland as Sam Allardyce continues to rebuild.

The Serbia defender could be available for either a season-long loan or a knock-down fee, both of which would appeal to Sunderland who will lose the services of out-of-contract Wes Brown this summer.

The defender is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League after making just 11 appearances last season but has further talks planned with Dortmund.

He said: "We had a phenomenal season and I understand the coach cannot keep everyone happy.
