Huge Mats Hummels boost for Man Utd and Chelsea as German insists he's not joining Bayern

MATS HUMMELS has denied that he is destined to join Bayern Munich

The Borussia Dortmund defender supposedly told his club that he wanted to leave and join their bitter Bundesliga rivals.

Dortmund then put out a statement saying that the World Cup winner would be off in the summer with Munich his destination – provided they stump up the cash.

It was a big blow for Manchester United and Chelsea who are interested in the 27-year-old.

But today he has told reporters that nothing is set in stone and that he may not join Bayern while blasting his club.

Hummels said: "This s****y statement has made a misleading expression. I have no idea why they had to do it.

"Everything is possible and nothing is decided yet."

Dortmund's statement read: "Defender Mats Hummels has communicated his desire to leave the club in the summer and join league rivals Bayern Munich next season.

"Borussia Dortmund's board has decided to make such a change depending on whether Bayern Munich produce an offer of the right value.

"So far, Bayern Munich have not made an offer."
