After just one season in Fenerbahce, Nani is set to leave for Spain.

Speaking to AMK Sport in Turkey, Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim said that Spanish side Valencia will trigger Nani’s $9.5 million buyout clause, with the move expected to be completed after the European Championship.

The 29-year-old winger has scored twice in four EURO matches for Portugal this summer, one of the nation’s better players as they head into the quarterfinals.

Nani made a name for himself at Manchester United, where he made more than 200 appearances for the Red Devils over eight seasons at Old Trafford. He won four Premier League trophies and a Champions League title during his time in Manchester.

However, Nani wasn’t in Louis Van Gaal‘s plans when the Dutchman took charge, loaned out to Sporting for a season before joining Fenerbahce on a permanent deal last summer.

In his first year in Turkey, Nani tallied 12 goals and 13 assists in all competitions.
