FC Bayern München could wrap up an historic fourth consecutive Bundesliga title on Saturday, but there is plenty more to get excited about on Matchday 32.

Champagne at the ready for Bayern

Pep Guardiola's charges could seal the club's 25th Bundesliga title with victory at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday. The Foals, incidentally, were the first side to beat the Bavarians this season, recording a 3-1 triumph on Matchday 15. Currently seven points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund, Bayern will be keen to avenge that defeat with a win that would hand them an unprecedented fourth consecutive Bundesliga Meisterschale. History is on their side too: Bayern have won 34, drawn ten and lost just three games of the 47 league fixtures played against Gladbach at home.
Gladbach got the better of Bayern on Matchday 15, but Pep Guardiola's side can seal the Bundesliga title with victory over the Foals this Saturday.

Must-win tie in Dortmund for travel-sick Wolves

Barring an unlikely meltdown from Bayern in their last three matches, Dortmund are guaranteed to finish in second, with third-placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen 20 points further behind. Yet Thomas Tuchel is not the type of coach to allow his charges to ease off, and will be keen to keep his troops sharp ahead of their meeting with Bayern in the DFB Cup final on 21 May. Saturday's fixture against VfL Wolfsburg will therefore provide a welcome challenge, as the out-of-form Wolves, who have taken just two points from the last 15 available and only won twice on the road all season, need to win all their remaining games to have a chance of securing European football next term.
Wolfsburg need to win to keep their hopes of qualifying for Europe alive, but BVB are out to stay in form ahead of the DFB Cup final.

Battle for the last automatic Champions League berth

Having successful negotiated one decisive fixture in the race for the UEFA Champions League places with a 3-2 triumph over FC Schalke 04 last week, Leverkusen face another stern test this weekend in the form of Hertha Berlin. Die Werkself are five points ahead of fourth-placed Hertha, so a win would book their spot in the group stages of Europe's premier club competition next term. Roger Schmidt's men are presently the most in-form side in the league having won each of their last six games, while the visitors have slumped at the just the wrong time, losing three of their last four.
Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez was on target for Leverkusen the last time they faced Hertha, a game the side from the capital won 2-1

High stakes in local derby with relegation twist

Local derbies are hard-fought affairs at the best of times, but Eintracht Frankfurt's 30-kilometre trip south to neighbours SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday promises to be an especially fiery encounter. Both teams are caught up in the relegation maelstrom, but Darmstadt are five points ahead of their rivals, with the Eagles needing a win at all costs to avoid being cut adrift in 17th place. A victory for Darmstadt would be the equivalent of winning the lottery for their fans: they would do the double over Frankfurt following a 1-0 away win on Matchday 15 and they would edge closer to saving themselves from relegation while simultaneously pushing Frankfurt closer to the precipice.
Frankfurt's Haris Seferovic (l.) and Darmstadt captain Aytac Sulu (r.) squared off in the first derby between the sides this season. Their Matchday 32 meeting is not likely to be any friendlier.

Monday night duel

As 1 May is a public holiday in Germany there are no matches on Sunday, meaning the next direct battle between two teams scrapping for their top-flight status will take place on Monday when SV Werder Bremen welcome VfB Stuttgart. The hosts are currently in the relegation play-off spot, two points and one place behind their visitors. Neither side are in particularly good form: Stuttgart have lost four and drawn one of their last five, while Bremen – led by evergreen striker Claudio Pizarro – have lost four of their last six. It may not be a pretty spectacle, but it will certainly be hard to beat for tension and excitement.
The relegation battle between Bremen and Stuttgart will once again be a full-blooded affair, with both eyeing survival.
