Arsene Wenger has spoken to player over night out

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has played down midfielder Jack Wilshere being pictured on a night out last Sunday.
Wilshere, 24, has only recently returned to training having not played this season because of a broken leg.
"I've spoken to him. It looks to be taken out of proportion a little bit. These are matters we like to keep internal," said Wenger.
"There was no training session the next day. I had a day off. You can accept players go out."
England midfielder Wilshere will play in an under-21s game on Friday as he steps up his recovery after breaking his left leg in August 2015.
"What is positive is that he works very, very hard," added Wenger. "The news looks quite good. I think he will have a good test on Friday."

'He's a real football brain'

Wilshere's career has been plagued by leg and ankle problems since he first sustained a stress fracture during pre-season in 2011, which left him sidelined for 15 months.
He had two operations last season after injuring his left ankle against Manchester United in November 2014.
England manager Roy Hodgson has not ruled Wilshere out of his squad for Euro 2016 but Wenger says he is "a bit cautious" about the player's return to fitness "because of his history".
"At the moment I believe he's a real football brain, Jack Wilshere. He loves football," said the Frenchman.
"He's very serious, very dedicated. The only thing that could stop him from having the career he can make is injuries.
"He had the history of his injuries. It's been bad recently. But I hope he can get rid of that and make the career he deserves."

Iwobi in contract talks

Wenger praised the impact Alex Iwobi, 19, has had since breaking into the first team and revealed talks over a new deal with the forward are under way.
Iwobi has scored two goals in his last two Premier League games.
"We are discussing it at the moment, to extend it," said the Gunners boss. "He is a real Arsenal person because he's been here since the age of eight.
"He has three years left at the end of the season but we want to keep him here longer."
Iwobi plays for Nigeria and Wenger added: "There's a possibility he will go to the Olympic Games and the African Nations Cup and travel a bit more. We have to respect his choice."

Ramsey and Flamini in contention

Arsenal, who are 11 points behind top-flight leaders Leicester with a game in hand, could have midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini back after injury to face West Ham on Saturday.
Ramsey has been out with a thigh problem, while Flamini was out with a hamstring problem.
"As long as mathematically it's possible, there's a strong possibility [of catching Leicester]," said Wenger.
"You look at the difficulty of the Premier League, they have been remarkably consistent, but every game is very, very tight, so that can go the other way as well."

Real Madrid defender is an 'actor' - Wolfsburg boss

Both Wolfsburg's Max Arnold and Madrid's Gareth Bale were booked following Marcelo's playacting.
Both Wolfsburg's Max Arnold and Madrid's Gareth Bale were booked following Marcelo's play-acting.

Real Madrid defender Marcelo has been called "an actor" for his antics in their 2-0 Champions League quarter-final first-leg defeat by Wolfsburg.
The Brazilian appeared to thrust his head towards Wolfsburg midfielder Max Arnold's midriff, before going to the ground, clutching his face.
Arnold was given a yellow card, while Marcelo was not penalised.
"Marcelo is an actor," Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking told German media after the game.
"That annoyed me, because he has no need."
Marcelo will face no further action from Uefa. European football's governing body would only act retrospectively if the incident had been missed by match officials.
Swiss full-back Ricardo Rodriguez opened the scoring in the first leg with a penalty, before Arnold struck the second. The return leg takes place in Spain on 12 April.
Marcelo's play-acting was described as "embarrassing" and "disgraceful" by former England manager Glenn Hoddle.
His fellow ITV pundit, ex-Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane, called the Madrid player's dive "shocking".
Arnold, who described his side's win as "breathtaking", simply said of Marcelo: "I wish I had such beautiful hair too."

Reaction - worst dive ever?

Marcelo's theatrics were ridiculed on social media and drew comparisons to his fellow Brazilian Rivaldo's play-acting in the 2002 World Cup.
The former Barcelona forward feigned injury when the ball was kicked towards him by Turkey defender Hakan Unsal, leading to Unsal being sent off. Rivaldo was later fined more than £5,000, but escaped a ban and said he had no regrets about the incident.

GlobalPort happening as uncertain team owner 'command coaching switch' in midgame

GlobalPort situation uncertain as team owner 'orders coaching switch' in midgamePido Jarencio has seen his GlobalPort team slump to the cellar in a campaign hard-hit by injuries, primarily to backcourt stars Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle. Jerome Ascano
ARE the days of Pido Jarencio as head coach of GlobalPort in the PBA numbered?
Sources from inside the Sultan 900 Incorporated franchise said team owner Mikee Romero became so disappointed with the Batang Pier's side he has ordered a coaching switch in the middle of a game against Rain or Shine on Tuesday.
Romero, sources said, personally called team governor Erick Arejola and ordered that one of his assistant coaches, former pro Johnedel Cardel, take over the reins late in the 94-116 loss to Rain or Shine.
"In the middle of the game, tumawag si Mikee kay Erick Arejola at sinabi, 'Paupuin si Pido Jarencio at si (assistant coach) Erick Gonzales at ang magco-coach si John Cardel.' Yun ang nangyari last game," said the source.
It doesn't end there.
According to the source, the standing order from Romero is to have former La Salle star Cardel call the shots in the team's game against Phoenix on Friday, although no official coaching change will be announced.
"And then officially, bukas makikita mo from the very start of the game, ang tatayo (as coach) si Cardel," the source said.
The situation doesn't bode well for the tenure of Jarencio, whose team is mired in the cellar with a 2-8 card in a campaign hard-hit by injuries, primarily to backcourt stars Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle.
Jarencio, owner of a UAAP championship with alma mater University of Santo Tomas, was previously relieved of his coaching duties at GlobaPort before he was reinstated this season.

Teams to reject new proposal

Lewis Hamilton has spoken out against the current format
Lewis Hamilton has spoken out against the current format

All 11 Formula 1 teams have told the sport's bosses they want to revert to the 2015 qualifying format amid ongoing criticism of the current system.
New for 2016, the current qualifying system has been criticised by drivers, teams, officials and fans.
FIA president Jean Todt and F1 commercial boss Bernie Ecclestone want to introduce a format that involves combining a driver's two fastest laps.
But teams think this is too confusing for the audience.
They plan to vote against it on Thursday.
Qualifying was changed this year because Ecclestone wanted to spice up race weekends, which he felt were becoming too predictable.
It consists of three knockout sessions, with the slowest six cars eliminated at the end of the first two stages before a shootout of the top 10 fastest.
However, it has not worked as hoped.
After the opening 2016 race in Australia, teams voted unanimously to revert to the 2015 format, only for Todt to rule out that option.
Undeterred, the teams again insisted on a reversion to 2015 at a meeting at the Bahrain Grand Prix last Sunday.
Now they have written a letter, arguing that Todt's aggregate system "adds complexity" and makes it harder for the audience to follow what is happening.
